reliable Amcrest wifi cams that works locally!

We do not encourage installing WiFi cams because they are unreliable if you have spotty coverage. If you have a lot of these cameras, they will slow down your entire WiFi network as well. For this reason POE cams with CAT5 cables is still our favorite choice. Off course there are exceptions. For these exceptions, we use Amcrest WiFi cameras. They have ONVIF so they can work with NVRs from Amcrest as well as other manufacturers. The Amcrest wifi models also have microSD card recordings as backups.

Gooloo battery power bank

Video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6aZI9w96kg. One of the smallest car/truck jump starter I have ever seen! This portable Gooloo battery power bank has saved me plenty of times when my battery was low when I have not been driving the car. It has also saved me when my starter was bad. Really easy to use as seen in the video and I highly recommend if you live in cold areas.Additionally, you can use it to charge your phone or any 12V DC devices such as my LED light stick. The only con is that the plug to charge the battery up is not standard USB C nor micro.

Small camera with intelligence

Cameras can be big, ugly, and hideous to install indoor. While there are many small cameras available, none of them are loaded with features such as AI face and human detection as this Yi camera! It is also smart enough to work with Alexa or Google Assistant to show video feed on your TV and other devices. Cloud recording is optional. All videos are saved locally onto the micro SD card. Follow this guide to hack it to work 100% locally, no need to have it dial back home to some servers in China. Need to make it discreet to monitor the baby sitter? There are several covers to hide the camera out of sight.
